Richard R. Oliver Leadership in Payments Award
The award is named for its first recipient, former Executive Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank. Rich Oliver was recognized by ePayResources as an innovative payments leader who led the Federal Reserve Bank in providing efficient and reliable Automated Clearing House services, as well as advancing the payments industry over many years through the partnerships he created with NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association.
Other past recipients of this award include Mickey Lawrence, Senior Vice President of Capital Bank, an innovative payments leader for 40 years who served on EastPay’s Board of Directors for over 25 years; and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, whose multi-year, multi-channel project to improve and streamline the customer payment experience epitomized the principles of NACHA’s PayItGreen program.
The 2016 Leadership in Payments award was presented to Ruth Brown, AAP, SunTrust Bank, who 1966 has been an active participant since 1966 in many committees, councils and work groups that shaped today’s ACH Network.
The 2017 Leadership in Payments award that was presented during Information Interchange 2017, was given to Wanda Chambers, Suncoast Credit Union, who over the last 18 months has dedicated hundreds of hours to the faster payments effort in her role on the Faster Payments Task Force steering committee. Wanda has been the Senior Vice President of payment services for Suncoast Credit Union since 2012, and is also a member of the ePayResources Board of Directors.
